He suggests that plants converse by sending chemical messages through the air, warning of upcoming hungry predators. When a neighboring plant 'hears' the message, it boosts its defense against grasshoppers, caterpillars and other invaders, he believes.

Using scissors, he clipped away the leaves and stems of shrubs, damaging them in the same way as a grasshopper did. He then planted some damaged and undamaged plants in a field and measured levels of predation on their neighbors. The leaves of the plants with clipped neighbors suffered the least grasshopper damage, the journal Ecology Letters reports. This is taken to suggest that the damaged plants somehow told their neighbors to shore up their defenses. The professor has yet to identify the airborne chemicals by which the shrubs have a natter.

In tests, sagebrush shrubs had their leaves "clipped" as if they were being eaten by grasshoppers or other herbivores. Other sagebrush plants growing near the clipped shrubs proved more resilient than control plants without damaged neighbors, indicating that they had received warning of the threat.

This information was provided with relevant proof and successful experiments from Arizona Cancer Centre.Green Tea contain detoxification enzymes that help to strengthen their metabolic defense against toxins that are capable of causing cancer.

In a study among 42 people, Green tea was provided regularly and they boosted around 80% of catechins enzymes that defense against CANCER. The catechins enzymes convert carcinogens to non-toxic chemicals, and a correlation between deficient expression of these enzymes and increased risk of developing some cancers.

This GREEN TEA belongs to the glutathione S-transferase (GST) family. Biotechnologists found that Polyphenon E boosted GST activity. It had its most rapid effect in volunteers whose baseline blood measurements showed low GST activity − an 80 percent increase compared to baseline GST activity. Activity did not change in volunteers with medium GST expression, or in those with the highest levels, GST seemed to decrease slightly although researchers believe that decline was due to random variation.

Biotechnologist and researchers found the reason for this pain. This is the first ever time in the history of Biotechnology, that it has been proved that genes are
involved in physical pain which is linked to painful times like social rejection especially when breaking up with a lover. This occurs due to the Genetic relationship between the physical pain sensitivity and social pain sensitivity.
Researchers further stated that the pain killers named “mu-opioids” are responsible. Mu-Opiods are the pain killers that are responsible for physical pain sensitivity and this pain killer extracts more even at the time of emotional and social pain sensitivity.

Biotechnologist study indicates that a difference in the mu-opioid receptor gene which is called as the (OPRM1).
Researchers study stated the change in the mu-opioid receptor gene (OPRM1), is related to how much pain a human feels in response to social rejection. People with a rare form of gene feel distressed and get pains in heart when they are emotionally feeling. Biotechnologist took saliva samples from nearly 122 participants to find which order of the OPRM1 pain gene they contain and then measured sensitivity to rejection in two ways.

Participants accomplished a survey that found their own sensitivity to rejection. They were asked, for example, how much they agreed or disagreed with statements like "I am very sensitive to any signs that a person might not want to talk to me."

A ball tossing computer game was held and the researchers found around 31 emotions of people. Peoples with the rare form of the pain gene, who were shown in previous work to be more sensitive to physical pain, also reported higher levels of rejection sensitivity and showed greater activity in social pain-related regions of the brain when they were excluded.

These result suggested that the feeling of a human being given the cold shoulder by a romantic interest or not being picked for a schoolyard game of basketball may arise from the same circuits. This is also said to be an overlap in the neurobiology of physical and social pain makes perfect sense. Feeling literally hurt by not having any social connections may be a nice way to make sure we keep them.

This research was done by the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

The Biotechnologists proved that drinking MILK after heavy weightlifting burn more fat faster.

They conducted an experiment to prove that drinking MILK after heavy weightlifting burn more calories when compared without drinking MILK. They took 3 groups of young men from age 18 to 30 years of age and conducted the weight lifting program for about 3 months. The first groups of weightlifters were given two cups of skim milk after their exercise; the second groups were given soy beverage with equal amount of protein and energy, and the last group with carbohydrate beverage with equal amount of energy roughly around 800ml of a sport drink.

The result concluded that the MILK drinking group lost twice the amount more, than the other groups. Nearly two calories of fat had been lost by the milk drinking groups. The carbohydrate beverage group lost around 1 pound and the soy intaken groups had no change in their fat.

The gain in muscles was also more in the milk drinking groups. Nearly 40% of muscles were gained more when compared with other groups. Fat mass would move away soon while drinking MILK after regular exercise.
People planning to reduce fat and gain muscles in a short period of time should drink large quantity of milk (at least a cup of milk) after doing heavy weightlifting is a must.

The main reason for this is MILK basically contains larger amount of calcium in it which helps in supporting bone health. Further MILK contains around 9 basic nutrients which makes our body stronger.

Swine Flu-Australian Biotechnologists tested vaccine for SWINE FLU

The Australian Biotechnologist first tested the vaccine for SWINE FLU on last week. Two Biotechnology Companies and Drug officials did the trial for first time in the world history. The SWINE FLU has already killed more than 1000 till now and this rate keeps on going day by day. Biotechnologist and Researchers are making attempts to find the vaccine for this miserable disease "SWINE FLU".

The test has been done in Adelaide and the vaccine has been tested for around 300 people. The Australian Government stated that, at least 41 have been died of the SWINE FLU and nearly 14000 fresh cases of SWINE FLU has been registered. This winter season has been mentioned as the winter flu season by the Australians generally. The Federal Government stated that they have 21 million doses of CS L's vaccine as a preventive measure.

They further stated that they have a specific medicine for this SWINE FLU which will protect millions of people from this Virus. The Biotechnologist any how stated that there is no guarantee of this vaccine working. Medical experts warned in rushing the trials of this vaccine.

Further, Cipla has launched a new drug against Swine Flu (Virenza), as an alternative option to Osetalmavir drug.

Treatment of Influenza

The recommended dose of VIRENZA for treatment of influenza in adults and pediatric patients aged 7 years and older is 2 inhalations (one 5-mg capsule per inhalation for a total dose of 10 mg) twice daily (approximately 12 hours apart) for 5 days.

Two doses should be taken on the first day of treatment whenever possible provided there is at least 2 hours between doses. On subsequent days, doses should be about 12 hours apart (e.g., morning and evening) at approximately the same time each day. There are no data on the effectiveness of treatment with Zanamivir when initiated more than 2 days after the onset of signs or symptoms.

The Japanese researchers conducted experiments on the mice and concluded that the grey haired persons have tender protection against cancer. Researches say that melanocytes are the cells which are involved in production of pigments that color hair.

Their numbers are kept topped up by stem cells. The hair goes grey when these number of stem cells in hair follicles declines and this paves for protection against cancer.

To explain this more clearly and scientifically, the Biotechnologists exposed mice to radiation and chemicals which will harm DNA. After exposure the damaged stem cells started transforming into melanocytes permanently.

The researchers further revealed that the mice went gray during this experiment. The Biotechnologists believe that the same process made lesser stem cells in the follicles of older people. This occurs when DNA damage accumulates as they age. This clearly proves that for grey haired people the dead stem cells converts into melantocytes as they showed in rats. Cows are responsible for producing more than half of the total methane emissions when compared with other resources.
